Your .PDF download will include the opossum pattern itself, printing instructions, suggested cutting layouts, 2 pages of sewing tips, and a step by step written tutorial along with accompanying full color photographs to help you complete your project.
The pattern includes both a 1/4 inch seam allowance and the exact sewing lines.
There is also a free video tutorial here: https://youtu.be/M6jqhFHEYkM
You do not need to purchase the pattern to view the video tutorial so if you are worried this project may not be suitable for you, you can watch the tutorial for an idea of what will be involved.
Your opossum will measure around 9 in long (not including tail), 5 in tall, and 3.5 in wide
Tools and Materials You Will Need:
• Grey Minky ( 12 x 10 in )
• White Minky ( 7 x 7 in )
• Black Minky ( 8 x 9 in )
• Pink Minky ( 9 x 8 in )
• 1 Pair 9mm Safety Eyes
• 1 12mm Safety Nose
• Matching Thread
+ All other sewing supplies you may need for a regular sewing project including scissors, straight pins, sewing needles, and (optionally) a sewing machine.
I consider this pattern a solidly intermediate pattern. There are 2 areas with extreme opposing curves that may be difficult to those unfamiliar with the techniques used. Careful sewing will be needed to keep all seams aligned where the colors change and hand sewing is used to attach the tail.

Amazing pattern! I couldn't buy any minky, so i used faux fur, fleece and felt fabric instead. After a few days, I finished the plushie and it turned out great! I highly recommend this pattern :D
I found this pattern just in time to whip a few up in commemoration of the first Alaskan Opossum - if you haven't seen in the news, a female with her babies stowed away for an Alaskan vacation - she's now a resident of our zoo!
Clear instructions and good advice
This was such a cute pattern! The instructions are very easy to follow as well, so I highly recommend this! It can be somewhat difficult though if you’re new to sewing so I recommend visiting their YouTube channel to get a feel for the process.
