Welcome once again to the best and most spookiest month, Halloween month! Or October, I suppose.

I have oodles of fun stuff planned for this month and I hope you guys will have as great of a time celebrating as I do!

Update Update: The giveaways have all ended and winners have been selected. The glitter... and I guess some bats... is on the way! 



First up: GIVEAWAYS!

Last year I did a Trick and Treat giveaway for 3 sets of bats (you can see the winner regretting their decision here) and this year I’m back at it only this time there will be 3 giveaways on 3 different platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. (Sorry to any others, but these are my most active). Giveaways will start 12am EST on the 1st of October and run until 12am EST on the 8th of October so anything entered after that date/time will not count as an entry. You’ll have to check the individual social media pages to see the posts when it’s time.

Winners will receive both a Treat (1 black galaxy bat) and a Trick (it’s going to be completely covered in glitter and confetti).

The giveaway is open to people 13 and older (with parental permission if you are under 18) worldwide. You’ll need to be comfortable giving me your address and legal name. Ideally, you’ll also be comfortable giving me a video of you glitter bombing yourself on purpose to share with everyone, but it’s not a requirement, it’s just fun.

Shipping is included in the giveaway, but international people may need to pay customs or import fees depending on the laws of their country.

I’ll use a random generator to pick the winners. They’ll be contacted via private message on the website they won on so be sure you have your messages open and are somewhat active. Winners will have 48 hours to respond and provide their shipping address or I will move on to the next person.

Next: FREEBIES!

Just like last year, each order for a physical item will come with a little goodie bag of absolutely lame and yet wonderful Halloween children’s toys. Think plastic spider rings, stickers, temporary tattoos, and sweet erasers. I’ve already started stocking up and it’s THE BEST. There will be no candy included this year to keep it safe for food allergies.

I have so many new patterns to help you really get in the spirit of the season! These will be releasing over the course of the month.

First up is a FREE fresno nightcrawler pattern. This is my favorite cryptid and it’s a super easy sewing pattern even beginners should feel comfortable tackling.

A new mothman pattern! This cute mothman is just ready to fly by your side and get into some trouble with you during these longer nights. Mothman is scheduled to release towards the end of the month and is currently with the graphic designer. 
 

Updated beginner bat pattern! This brings the pattern up to date with my current patterns and includes slight changes to the pattern itself, re-written instructions, better photos, seam allowance, and more quality of life improvements. If you wanted to try making your own bat, but aren’t ready to tackle my regular bat pattern, this one is for you.

And more?! I have a finished toucan pattern and a few others in the works that may release this month as well so keep your eyes peeled.

Finally: PLUSHIES!

Last year’s Bat-O-Ween was a huge success. The biggest feedback I got was that you’d like to see more plushies, different plushies, and a different time.

So this year Halloween/Fall themed bats will release at 6pm EDT with a preview post at 12pm EDT. (Sorry if this doesn’t work for you. It’s impossible to pick a time that will work for everyone, but by switching it up this year I hope to accomodate people who were left out last year)

There will also be 3 of each bat! That gives people more chances to catch one. They’ll still be first come, first serve and they do tend to sell out fast so please be ready for that.

I’ll also release some different Halloween themed plushies over the course of the month, though those won’t release on specific dates and times so you’ll have to keep an eye out for them.
