This pattern is really good and simple

This pattern is really good for beginners I am a more average sewer. I sewed this with handsewing and it came out looking really good. The eyes are a bit wonky but I think that with a few more practices I can nail it :).

Cute and easy

Using Minky helps with the stretch needed to turn the bat inside out. Easy pattern. The hardest part was putting the plastic eyes through the minky

Not really forfrom beginners

I bought this for my daughter who is a beginner. She came back to me really stressed about the wings. The photos and instructions show a real lack of remembering the hand holding needed from the author. They are completely different sizes. If they have any intentions of being a decent instruction then say how a beginner deals with size difference and which stitch as is for that job. Beginner bat was too hard for any beginner and has no video to help. Referred to complicated bat. Really awful help and instructions. DO NOT BUY

Sorry to hear you are unhappy with the pattern. I have no record of an email from the email on this order asking for assistance, so I can't refer back to that, but I apologize if you found my assistance lacking. The specific area your daughter seemed stuck on uses a technique called sewing opposing curves. As stated in the listing description, this is the most difficult part of this pattern. The wing is concave while the body is convex, so the wing fabric must be adjusted to match the curve of the belly. There are many tutorials for this online (I like this tutorial personally because it offers multiple techniques to achieve the same goal http://sweetbriarsisters.com/blog/sew-opposing-curves/) I also use the exact same technique in the more complex bat pattern video, the wing is even the exact same pattern piece, and you can see the time stamp for that specific step in the video here: https://youtu.be/WasrzwZwofg?t=673

I know you said you did not find any of this to be of any help, but I include it here so that others may see it.
